The staff are friendly, the gym is nice, and there are a lot of exercise equipment options. My kids (4 & 7) love going to the child care area because it's got tubes/tunnels.
My grandson and his best friend have a wonderful time playing in their pool. It's really fun to watch them and great that there are always two lifeguards watching over the people in the pool. The Maplewood community center is wonderful.
In a city like St.Paul it's essential to find somewhere to exercise in the cold winters. This YMCA is a great spot to get a sweat on all seasons. They have a quiet cardio area with a great view of a lake. For those with kids, membership comes with childcare during specific hours. Childcare workers are very sweet and helpful. There is also a pool with a fun kids splash zone. They offer tours for those interested and day passes.
