“I started my yoga journey during COVID, alone via online videos. I needed a safe space to practice once the pandemic ended. My friend suggested I join her at Yoga State. I was amazed by the beauty of the East Lansing Studio. Every detail gave a sense of peace and calm. (the Okemos studio is the same-check out the floors in both studios-amazing) The instructors are so welcoming and I appreciate when they stop and correct my form. I am always pleased when they say something in a class that I had never thought of to make the form better. There are people of all ages and abilities in the classes but you can choose a type of class you like better (hot, slow, fast, BUTI or even paddleboard in the summer on the lake!!!) The classes can be challenging or relaxing and even fun. I feel a real sense of community here. Try a couple of different classes and instructors to get your feel. After every class, I leave more grounded, calm, energized and feeling good about myself.“
