“My wife's family has used this place for many years and unfortunately I have been here more times than I would like due to the circumstances. The people that own and operate the facility are flat out amazing. Recently when my father passed and obviously I suggested them to my mother. In normal fashion they were completely stellar in the handling of my father, and helping my mother and I through the process. The facility is nice and well kept but if I could add an extra star just based on how caring, hospitable and courteous they are I would. Losing a loved one is hard, it's easy to find a small fault and make any little detail a extreme disservice but they did a fantastic job for us from setting up the service and planning. They did a great job on preparing my father. He looked great and did everything we needed. Highly HIGHLY recommended. Thank you Alex and the staff for taking care of us, hope to not see you soon (no offense) but you will be our first call in these times of need.“

“Elmwood Cemetery is a historic cemetery in the heart of Detroit, Michigan. I went there recently to visit some of my loved ones' grave sites. The staff was very helpful at precisely mapping out the graves (3 to be exact) and even provided some nearby landmarks to make it easier for me to find them and it worked. I found all three of them fairly quickly.

The grounds at Elmwood Cemetery are very well kept and beautifully landscaped. There's also a small lake and fountain on site that adds to the tranquility of this historic landmark.“

Spanning an impressive 300 acres, it’s also Detroit’s largest cemetery, and the vastness feels almost endless as you wander through its serene grounds.

While there aren’t many extravagant private burial chambers, the cemetery is adorned with stunning statues and features breathtaking communal mausoleums.
