We could not have been happier with the excellent service and caring attention we received from Sagel Bloomfield following the passing of my mom in Sept 2023. Lisa made an extremely difficult moment in our lives that much more manageable and peaceful than I could have ever expected. I was very impressed with both the professionalism and the caring way we were handled from the moment we called to inform them mom had passed, through the funeral, and to all of the final paperwork that had to be handled. Having to plan a loved one's funeral was not high on my list of things I looked forward to. I had heard many stories of the high pressure horrors that were experienced during the planning. My experience with Sagel Bloomfield was the exact opposite. Our meeting with Lee was completely non-pressure. She efficiently presented the various options that were available, to us, answered any questions that we might have, and allowed us to decide what we wanted, not what she wanted. And the entire time, she showed us terrific compassion.This was not a procedure that I would look forward to doing, again. This is our fourth time in 15 years that we've used the services of Sagel Bloomfield. The first three involved my parents and my mother-in-law, and Sagel Bloomfield couldn't have been more helpful. This last time was just two months ago, when my brother-in-law passed away very suddenly at the age of 70. He lived in Virginia and did not have a Will, so we had issues with his body being brought to a funeral home in Virginia and their inability to release his body because no Personal Representative to the estate had yet been named. We were absolutely distressed by these developments and turned to Sagel Bloomfield for assistance. They could not have been more helpful.... read full review
