“I found this place randomly. I was in town for the weekend and decided to get my hair done (if possible). Luckily I found this place and they not only took out my old braids but also squeezed me in same day after a thorough wash. 5.5 hours later I was out of there and ready for the rest of my Saturday, with only one braider working on my head. I showed her my hair and pictures that I came in with an idea of what I wanted. she looked in my hair gave me a consultation. She gave me a very nice and relaxing shampoo. And before she cut, we went over what I wanted and she completely understood, and gave me a great cut. I checked out with her. Rose did a great job with my daughter's hair. She loves the highlights. She was very personable and helpful.

Cindy had my mom who is in a wheelchair. She and Rose took extra care making sure my mom was able to transfer safely. Mom loves her perm even though she has thin and very straight hair.

I highly recommend this salon. The stylists listen, actually hear what the client wants, and interpret the best way to style with the client's hair type.

“My honest review. (An Essay)

I arrived a little after 4.30. I didn't realize she owned almost the whole strip! As she claims, no appointment necessary. I signed in and before I could even sit down, a braider was assigned to me. We went to the second building and it was decently packed. Of course hair on the floor and around was expected but the men would come around and sweep what they could. It was well air-conditioned but, there was some bad body oder going on. For such a compact place, it was not the best. Luckily they left and it smelled fine. My braider cleaned off a chair for me and got to work asking what style I wanted, what color and prepping the hair. She told me it would be 220 for tribal braids. I thought that was expensive for what I was getting but, maybe that's what they are going for these days.

I ended up having two braiders and they were both so kind to me. It was also nice to know they were not talking about me. My main braider must have been the head of that building section because she would stop to assist another braider on whatever issue they were having. It didn't bother me too much because the other braider that was with her was still working on my hair, so there was always someone braiding my hair.

From what you see on social media, they make it seem as though you can be in and out in about two hours or so. While my braiders, I felt, were quick I was in the chair for what I felt was the normal amount of time it takes to do the style I wanted. I ended up leaving the shop around 8:42 PM and the style looks great!

For the distance traveled, which was about 30-40 min depending on traffic, the price, and the time, I don't think I will be returning. I can go to a braiding shop closer to me. Usually they'll say just come now and they'll get started on my hair and charge me probably the same amount for the same amount of time and execution.

I do like the fact that Nadine's is open 24 hours. If I was in a bind, I would definitely go back. If you live in that area, definitely head over there and get your hair done. I don't think you will be disappointed.
