    I called here and attempted to make an appointment. The first few times I called no one answered which is fine. When I finally got ahold of somebody, before even offering a date or a time or telling me what kind of time frame they were scheduling out, the person wanted my credit card information. So I said to the person, "Well I'm not booking anything yet because you haven't told me what you have available, so we don't need to move to the credit card portion yet." The person on the phone sounded bothered by this very logical step, and when she told me the next appointment was a month and a half in the future, on a workday at 1 PM, I said that wouldn't work for me and I was going to go somewhere else. Why do you want my credit card number first? It's like going to a store and providing your credit card before you pick something out and decide to buy.... Nonsense. Settle down with trying to get my money first!! I mean it's already off-putting that you have to put a credit card down for hair appointment, (as someone who always shows up for every appointment I have, and early). But I was willing to do that if that's what a business wants to do to get me to commit because people tend to be flaky. However I don't think that this is a good practice, because it's kind of like treating all your customers like big 'ol flakes when there are only a percentage of people who flake. It's like locking down all the merchandise for your paying customers at CVS because there are a percentage of people who shoplift. It's a practice that makes sense for the business ONLY, not the honest customers. They can do whatever they want with their policies, I just see it as off-putting. I went back to my favorite Chinatown place, the very next day.

    Torrie and the team at station8 are fantastic! Great experience from start to finish. I got a cut and full foil and am very happy with the results.They also have very good covid protocols - good distancing and everyone was masked - they even gave me a fresh surgical mask so I wouldn’t get any hair dye on my own mask.

    I moved to Boston five months ago and I tried this salon based on recommendations from many different sources. I booked an appointment and the stylist was running late. No problems, it happens.. upon sitting down I made note of how clean everything was and the precautions everyone was taking. I explained that I wanted my hair cut and to added whispy curtain bangs with some face framing layers. I showed pics of the style and every old pictures of myself with a similar haircut. What she gave me is basically a mullet. Thick front bangs and choppy layers. I thought, okay maybe give it a week and learn to style it.. no.. I have never been in tears about a haircut before and I feel like I can’t show my face anywhere. It’s that horrible for me. I didn’t want to discredit the salon right off the bat but this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

    Luis is incredible! He listens and understands exactly what I want and delivers a look that always exceeds expectations. Cannot recommend him enough!The salon has super high COVID sanitary standards. I feel safe when I’m there knowing the staff take every precaution seriously.

    So when the staff does a wonderful job dealing with a customer after a cancellation ( due to an emergency) the owner of this place decided that she was not happy that I wasn't charged for the appointment so took the freedom to lecture me and when I called her out on it she hung up. Keep your money.

    Have seen careful cleaning after each service completed
    Plastic shields are installed
    masks at all times
    Reminders if anyone forgets
    Distancing observed also
    Same wonderful staff
    Appointments are carefully called for fewer people in the salon

    I just went to station8 for the first time since moving to the area and am so impressed! Geah did an incredible job on my brows, I’ve never had someone be so meticulous and detailed. She was amazing and the rest of the staff was super gracious and lovely!! Looking forward to coming back!
