I was desperately seeking a dentist to help me with teeth that started breaking and filings falling out during Covid. No one around would see me because they didn't take my insurance. My gums were getting infected and I had pain every day with every sip of cold water or hot food. Finally I heard about CHCFC having a free Emergency dental clinic in the basement of Baystate Franklin Hospital! I called for several days before I got a same day appointment, but the Receptionist, Alycia, was always kind and supportive and so happy when she was able to give me a same day appointment. I’ll Start by staying ever since I was little I’ve had an enormous fear of the dentist i could never pinpoint why, but I think I share the same fear as many people. I have put off going to the dentist for a number of reasons over the last few years due to the pandemic, losing my family dentist, fears etc. I have had a cracked wisdom tooth that I knew eventually would need attention and would need to be extracted, but It wasn’t top on my list. It made it there real quick on Thursday April 27th. The pain was absolutely unreal and a friend recommended I go to urgent care in Greenfield immediately on Friday morning. I love my doctor's and care team but today I had a medical problem that I was told go come and ask for my at chc and I have never met a woman so mean she was rude and didn't want to help me did not care if it was an emergency everything I said was wrong and that was the end of it. Said I guess I ll be back Monday and she said I'll be here with a grin like saying ha ha ha
