I was visiting my Mom & Dad for Christmas when they received a propane delivery. Being a son of elderly parents and naturally concerned for their welfare, I called Eastern Propane and Oil to discuss the possibility of an "Elderly rate" for those on a fixed income.I was ASTONISHED to hear a human voice answer the phone. (I detest automated answering as it is impersonal and lights my already short fuse). The two people I talked to were MORE THAN PLEASANT and VERY HELPFUL. Justin came to my house for a routine boiler/furnace servicing. He went above and beyond by checking my fireplace and showing me how to increase the flame height, set up the unit to run when the power goes out, etc. He is a great guy and a wonderful example of what customer service should be. He should be training all of the Eastern Propane service reps to show the how customer service should be handled.
I've been a customer of Eastern Propane for the past year or so. Unfortunately, after a month of heavy appliance use, I ran out of propane earlier then expected. Eastern Propane had a truck over to me in less than 30-minutes to refill my tanks at 11:30 PM on a Friday night! I'd like to especially recognize Chris who not only refilled my tanks, but walked me through how to read the meter correctly. Chris provided an unbelievable customer service experience from start to finish. He even came inside my home to ensure that all of my appliances were functioning properly.
