Master George and Master Matt excel at what they do for my little ones.! They are wonderful instructors, are extremely knowledgeable, are patient, and you can tell enjoy working with children. I love how they are instilling physical Skills as well as respect and good ethics for my children.
My son loves it here. These gentlemen are amazing, I can tell that the instructors (masters) are very knowledgeable, great with the kids, and just great people all around. My son looks forward to coming every week. I will definitely recommend to others!
This may be rather long but it is from the heart! Thank you, Master George! People pass through our lives all the time. A lot of them walk by without us ever noticing, but some people stay with us forever. This includes Master George. Although it has been some time since I have seen him ( many years), he is one I will never forget. I was five years old when I stepped foot in his classroom. In such a short time, karate became my obsession. Once I reached the age where I could take classes that were open to anyone who trained, I was training four days a week. Some nights I would take two classes. I couldn't get enough. I spent countless hours training and learning from him and my classmates. They were like my family. He taught me strength and courage. He taught me never to give up no matter how hard it was. He never let my training interfere with my schoolwork. I later went on to get my black belt, teach classes and compete in competitions. These accomplishments are so rare and some of my most cherished accomplishments even to this day. Training always gave me a sense of empowerment. Whether I had an excellent night training or outperformed a bunch of teenage boys as a nine-year-old at a competition, I always felt a sense of power, but never in a conceited way. It also taught me dedication as well as determination. The fact that I was utterly obsessed with being the best martial artist I could be only helped me. I gained a lot of self-confidence. To perform in front of hundreds of people, sometimes to be the only girl in the division under the age of 12 competing for a trophy (winning many times) and to teach your knowledge to other, newer students took a lot of confidence. None of that is possible without confidence. Any person could walk into any martial arts studio and earn a black-belt. But not every person is lucky enough to say that they have learned the lessons that I have. I owe all of these lessons to my instructor. His strong-willed yet gentle and patient way of teaching made every moment enjoyable. Life took me in a different direction as I got older (around 20) I moved too far that I was not able to continue my training. However, as I grew older (I’m 42 now) I began to look back on it all and a lot of the more broad concepts had meanings to me. I understand so much more now than I did then. My training is something I carry with me always. A lot of the time I wish I never had to stop. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for instilling the values you did.
