Let me preface by saying my operator at Jenni's really did good work. My review is not pertaining to the quality of the services I received.

I've been going to Jenni's for a little over a year now on the advice of my sister-in law, and during that time the prices have gradually increased until they are now verging on laughable. My bill for a colour and trim was $178 this evening. As a comparison, I got my hair coloured and cut in Mid-town Manhattan at a very nice salon right before the Covid lockdowns. I went to Jenni’s for 6+ years before Covid and had a great couple of stylists. After that I never really built a relationship with a new stylist. Well I decided to try again and set up an appointment for a wash and cut for 2:00 knowing that I had to get my son to a Dr appointment at 3:30. An hour would be plenty of time. I have thick hair and my stylists allow for an hour. Well the week prior, I got a call asking to move my appointment to 2:30 because the person ahead of me would take longer, I said that wouldn’t work because of my son’s appointment, so we compromised on 2:15. I came here for the first time. I have long thick hair. I made my appointment for highlights with color and a trim. I only wanted a partial highlight but she stated I'm still going to charge you for a full highlight. So I told her in that case I want more highlight for the full price of the highlights you're going to charge me for. She said I really don't have time to do your hair. The appointment was made correctly but I felt she was very inexperienced dealing with long hair. As she did my hair she continued to complain about how she had to use more product and really didn't have time to do my hair. She was very rough with me tugging and pulling.... read full review
