I am proud to be supporting a small family local business that has been in the area for a long time.One of the many things I loved about this Shims Martial Arts is that they offered lots of flexibility on the kids ever-changing schedules. and also offer families and adult classes later in the day..Master Cy and Grand Master Shim treats everyone like family as you enter the Dojang.. and teaches my children the discipline and respect through the art of Taekwondo..
To say that Shim's TKD has helped me in life would be an understatement. I've been attending classes for almost nine years now, and in those nine years I've learned not just how to defend myself, but also valuable skills like endurance and confidence. Those skills have served me well in other areas of life, from giving me the courage to try new things and go out of my comfort zone to helping me keep up and do well in other sports I do. Additionally, everyone there is so encouraging, and going to class feels like hanging out with friends in addition to learning self defense. Started at Master Shim's place early 90's till early 2000's. From white belt to 3rd degree black belt, the school always pushed you to reach your physical and mental potential. 1 memory I will never forget about Master Shim was, when he found out that my father was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, Master Shim was pushing my father to start Tae-Kwon-Do for free; to help his body & mind fight off the cancer and to stay mentally strong / positive. ??????
