“If you're contemplating booking an appointment with Nicky, just do it!! After having my daughter my hair was completely dead and I was in immediate need for a haircut. Searched on yelp since my previous hairdresser moved out of state, and found Nicky. I didn't get any color but my hair looks AMAZING after my cut. She exceeded my expectations! For a new mama who rarely gets "me time" it was exactly what I needed that resulted in a nice change. I can't stop touching my hair because it just feels so much healthier. Nicky is super sweet and easy to talk to. When I'm ready for color or my next cut I'll definitely be back!“

“I had a wonderful experience with New Concepts by Halo from my initial inquiry to the moment we stepped out. Sarah greeted me and my daughters (2 and 7) warmly and eased my anxieties about doing a cut and color with the two little ones in tow. Not only did Sarahi do an INCREDIBLE job, she was so kind and comforting (I was feeling really embarrassed about the state of my hair because I've been cutting and dying it myself for years). She evened out my color, covered by grays, fixed my bangs, and totally honored my request to keep things low-maintenance. Sarah and Catalina were SO sweet to my girls and even kept an eye on them while I got my color rinsed. Sarah cut my 7 year old's hair perfectly and added the absolute CUTEST multi-colored tinsel. Catalina gave the 2 year old her first ever haircut and styled her hair in darling half-up piggies. The salon was clean, comfortable, nice temperature, and not too loud! Sarah, Catalina, and the establishment itself were professional without being pretentious. What could of been a very stressful experience was actually RELAXING and the three of us girls left feeling pampered and content. Thank you, Sarah & Catalina!!! We had an amazing experience.“

“My son is 2.9, and I brought him here for his first haircut. As soon as we walked in, he was very comfortable and wanted to sit in one of the car chairs. He grabbed a dinosaur toy to keep him company in the car. Clara, the owner, was also the one who cut his hair. I told her it was his first haircut, so she put Cocomelon on for him, just in case he needed the distraction. I think it helped. It went so smoothly! He did so well, and Clara was great! He was done in no time, and she gave us this very cute certificate with a clipping of his hair. He also got to pick a prize. Love this place and will definitely take him back for his future haircuts.“
“I have been going to Damien for many years ( specifically to his other location) and I'm always very happy with how he trims my hair. He knows exactly how to layer my hair. I had gone temporarily to another stylist due to my relocation, however I ended up going back to Damien. He is the best!!“

“I went in for a scalp detox with Silvia. As she treated my hair, Silvia talked me through each step and made sure I was comfortable. The treatment itself is all natural which was important to me given that I am pregnant. I especially enjoyed the natural smells (my hair smelled like a winter wonderland). The before and after was astonishing to say the least! Will be going back in the future for more detoxes and hopefully more“

“I came to this location to get box braids. Originally I thought it would be at the location by Whittier College, but I had to go a little ways down the street to the newer location which is a house in the area. Was a little wary at first, but that quickly changed. When I arrived was greeted with friendly faces. Invited me to the back where a sitting area resides and a lovely little fountain pool. Hope you aren't scared of big doggies and trust you don't have to be. The dogs were so cute and polite. I love pets so this wasn't an issue for me. I didn't wait long. I minute later I was greeted inside the house just a door away to her salon area in the home. I was impressed with the presentation as it resembled a professional salon. I sat down in the once again professional style salon chair and me and her had the best chat as she promptly started the timer to make sure she was charging appropriately. She was SUPER quick. Time flew by like it was nothing. She even explained how I should take care of my box braids for long lasting effects and gave me hair tips. Side note. Thanks for recommending Brick House Pizza. I went afterwards and it was delicious! Happy with how they turned out and loved the visit. Will definitely consider again!“

“Bricia is so good at her job. She met me with a big beautiful smile for a consultation to discussed options for my hair. I had several bad cuts over the last couple years and was nervous to try another salon. Not to mention feeling old with my grey hair. She was very understanding and got right to work.
