**** was fantastic! At times I was overwhelmed with decisions but he was very patient with me. Even when I screwed with his time line..lol Everything went exactly as he said it would. He was very up front with us and let us know when something wouldn't work but had many ideas about where to go from there. Thank you Gabbert Construction for a job well done!
Adam and his crew remodeled our kitchen, living room, and family room area between September and December of 2021. It was an extensive job. We went from a basic design and added things we wanted to do. As expected with any job, the more we added, the more it cost. No complaints. The timeline got stretched a bit, but we were flexible, mostly due to items not in stock by suppliers. In the end, it turned out beautiful. Their attention to detail is great.Adam is very knowledgeable, knows his business and will give you a fair deal. He will work with you, give you suggestions on things, what will work and what won't. In my opinion, his prices are fair, reflecting what's going on in our economy right now. Remember, you get what you pay for. We may have paid a little more, but for the product we got, we were more than happy.Adam's crew were always on time. In fact, they were early. If they were supposed to be on the jobsite at 0700, they were here at 0650 and ready to go at 7. They took their breaks and lunches as expected, and didn't stretch their time. Never cut out early or drug their feet. Good honest guys. Adam does use subs for some work. The people he used were pretty good folks. He has subs that he has used for many years and has a good relationship with. Trustworthy.During the project, Adam will give you a timeline of what to expect and when. On details, he will give you, for lack of a better term, homework. Little bits and pieces as the job progresses, to think how you would like something done. You don't have to figure everything out on day one.My suggestions to folks thinking about signing contract with Adam:Have a plan in mind? Adam will come out and talk with you about what you would like to do. He's a listener and will do his best to accommodate you. He can give you good suggestions too. He will give you a fair estimate.Book early. His schedule can be busy. It gets you in the pipeline to get your job done in a timely fashion.Be flexible. Changes happen in anything. Adam will work with you. If you add something in the middle of the job, you should expect the price may change.Give him pictures. If you have pictures of kitchens, bedrooms, etc, in mind, give him copies. Colors, details, that kind of thing.Don't be afraid to ask questions. My wife and I are very pleased with the way things turned out for us. We definitely recommend Gabbert Construction. Thanks again Adam, Carl, Martin, and Ole!
I had a great first meeting talking over several remodeling ideas and some repairs with Adam. He listened, gave some advice, and was very personable. When we were done, he said he'd get back to me. Well, I didn't hear back from him. Time passed, and I was not happy. I felt dismissed and wrote a review. I ended up hiring another company for the repairs, but not the remodeling. A friend had recommended someone, and they were available. I was shocked when I received a call from Adam much later. He had seen my (original review). He explained and wasn't happy. After I listened, I realized that in my excitement of the possibility of moving closer to my goals, I didn't hear...read full review
