I would give Maria del Carmen a hundred stars if I could! I was a bit traumatized from my sons first hair cut at Hillsdale mall but Carmen had great reviews so I wanted to give it another shot. My 18M old freaks out when I try trimming his hair at home, so the entire time he was kicking, screaming, and crying. Carmen never once seemed frustrated or annoyed with him. She was so kind and understanding, even with him flailing around she did a great job wit his haircut. If you were like me and had a bad previous experience with your child haircut or are coming in for your first visit, I cannot recommend her enough. I had a good experience here after my five-year-old son cut my two-year-old daughters hair I have no idea how I would adjust the length and make it look nice I took them both in and we were taken care of and their haircuts look great both of the women were kind and friendly to my kids which was very appreciated

I can't believe I haven't written this review already, because we LOVE Carmen at Renovate! I started taking my older daughter there when she was 4, and very haircut resistant. We'd tried another place for kids that was so chaotic, loud, and overwhelming for all of us, and Renovate is the exact opposite. The space is calming, clean, and quiet. They're still very COVID conscious and limit the number of people in the space at one time, and they have screens set up to keep kids entertained that they can actually hear and focus on during the haircut.
