Newton-Bracewell Cremation and Funeral Service

I don't know if 1 star for a mortuary company is fair, but if you make 1 mistake in this very sensitive business, it's a failure. I made 1 request, which I later found out was supposed to be a standard procedure. The request was for a fingerprint which they upload and the image can be used to provide a piece of jewelry to memorialize the deceased. The device they used to take the fingerprint failed to capture the fingerprint, and the chance to recover the print was lost after her cremation. I was called back by the owner and his apology was sincere. Overall, there can be no mistakes in this business. I stand by my review and am still upset 5 months later.

When my mother died we went to Newton-Bracewell. They are so kind and thoughtful as they walked my sister and I through the process. We couldn't have asked for better service.

An underwhelming experience, compounded by having them ship the deceased's remains to the wrong location after numerous discussions and confirmations about where they should be sent. I'm not anticipating ever having to require such services in the Paradise CA area again so selecting an alternate provider isn't an issue for me. For those in the area I'd certainly give other funeral homes some consideration before making a final decision.
