Former student here, I no longer live near by. As someone who attended different gyms throughout SoCal, I can confirm that this is most professional, caring, and friendly gym I have been to. The owner and instructors here are patient and really want to help you process. The combinations of lessons and rolling are also amazing too, you will definitely get a great workout. This is the perfect place if are an experienced grappler (I was a college wrestler) and also a great place if you are completely brand new to do it. Should stop by!

Shimeru has been a tremendous blessing to our family. All three of our kids love the classes and training. The coaches here are the best I've seen and go out of their way to make sure that the kids are getting the best training possible at a level that suits them. Classes are fun, safe and very informative. We love it here!
Shimeru is an excellent, high quality, professionally ran business with great instruction for Judo and Jiu Jitsu. The mat space is huge, and always kept clean. The classes are punctual, and fun for the kids. There are Gi and No Gi classes for kids and adults so I can train after my kids get done. And lastly, Shimeru just became an approved vendor for my daughters’ charter school, Mission Vista Academy so I can pay for their membership with their school funds to cover their P.E. lessons.
