“This is my experience w women's cut only. Place is very traditional, with no frills and straight to the point. Came here because my hubby gets his haircut here sometimes. I was short on time and desperately needed a trimThe reason for the 3-4 star is more on preference. I like to get my haircut dry cut so I can actually see what it looks like without the blow-dry. Likely will not go back for a women's cut.“

“Took my Son Michael to cut his hair. Long over -.do for that matter. Went previously to the West End Barber shop on the other side of Main St right next door to JD's. They were.closed.on that day. So,.long story short, I called.them.and asked them if there was a wait,.if so, how long, and cost? Turns out that one of my older brothers friend /Homeboy Son works there and his father whom I've known since growing up in the hood , works there as well. Mike : Ramirez from San Gabriel. I walked in meaning to meet and introduce myself....walking in I looked over towards the back of the room where my Son was already sitting in a barber chair behind his stood a tall Gentleman and he said, HEY, I KNOW HIM , ITS GATO'S BROTHER R.I.P. CHUY VIRAMONTES!!! WOW! I was shocked to find that, not only did his Son worked there!??! So did he!! He cut my Son's hair great, so good that I had stepped away to hit Big T Mart a couple of blocks away. When I returned, I messaged my Son to inform him that I was waiting around the corner on Fifth St. Where I left him off at..Seeing that I was dressed for work, handy man stuff, when he walked across the street at the corner of Fifth/Main St I did not recognize him??!! For reals. Looked like a totally different person. Lol! Yup. So with that said, the moral of my story is that "always dress presentable cause you never know who you're going to run into that you haven't seen in 20 years“
