This place is truly the best. I had my hair cut short and highlighted for the first time recently at Big Joy and was super nervous but couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Alyssa did an incredible job and made me feel super comfortable the whole time, always creating great vibes. The whole staff is welcoming and friendly and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Amazing! I get my hair cut by an apprentice there and it’s never been less than perfect. Everyone is kind and friendly, with good conversation and a really skilled staff. The product range is wonderful; and they’re pretty good at accommodating scent or ingredient sensitivity.I DO wish the whole staff would mask so disabled people could feel safe BUT if you come in masked, your stylist will put one on (a bit performative when there are several other non masked employees and clients) so it is much better than a lot of other supposedly accessible salons.
