Donna Service Design in Summerland is a family-owned and- operated business. It was our founder Pat Vander Wal’s passion for designing that got this company started. She has a design experience of 40 years and specializes in problem windows like angles, arches, ‘difficult to treat’ windows. 40 Years of Design Experience Pat received her degree in Interior Design in 1970, at the Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. She then operated JP Custom Draperies in Calgary for 10 years and moved to Victoria, BC in 1989, where she opened Ashbury’s Custom Draperies and served the clientele for 15 years. Since 2007, Pat also worked at the Benjamin Moore/True Colours Window Coverings in Penticton for 5 years.

Pat is great to work with. She not only makes suggestions but listens to your comments and concerns. You never feel pressured or rushed when she brings samples and works with you to provide the "look" you are hoping to achieve. Pat assisted us with draperies in the dining room, living room and bedroom. She then assisted us in having a custom made bed cover, shams and cushions. She ensured it paired with our wall colors etc. When I had some concerns it was no issue to have an extra visit and set my mind at ease.
