I visited Carlyn's Barber Shop solely based on the Yelp reviews. I'm glad I did! I've had a pretty busy schedule lately, and just simply haven't had time for a haircut. I felt like I had hippie hair, so I had to do something! Carlyn runs a one-chair shop in a nice little courtyard right off Mill St. I was lucky. When I arrived, there wasn't a wait (apparently there usually is). I'm really happy with the cut she gave me, and some might consider me "picky" when it comes to my hair. If I lived here, I'd be a regular. As it is, I'll have to visit next time I'm in town.

Cute location and great work! My bf and I love his cut and loved this classic shop. Carlyn was sweet, knowledgeable, and is super bad a$$- a total girl boss! I loved her vibe! I recommend her 110% Advisory: -Cash Only -May get distracted by the cute courtyard -Must bring extra cash for the cute surrounding shops

Carlyn comes from a family of barbers. Her one chair shop is a welcome place for a no nonsense cut. She can do it all and does. She is very accommodating. Her shop is one of Mill Avenue's special spots.
