Great Dr., but the front office manager (in charge of new patients) needs to retire or take a number of classes to learn appropriate patient communication. Since I have been Dr Schechtman's patient for more than 20yrs, I was very upset to be sent away as my appointment was cancelled due to not receiving my records from the surgeon treating me for a shattered shoulder that required 2 surgeries & 19mos. of P.T.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Specialist, Dr. Joy Shectman, is outstanding! Her practice is active & full. Staff works hard to keep up with her pace. Her undivided attention for each patient is exemplary & imperative to her, &
important me as her patient of 6 years.
Her dedication warrants & is worth a wait, if necessary, to become a patient.

I went to doctor several times, but hadn’t been there for about two years. I called to schedule an appointment and gave all of my information to the scheduler. I was told that they would check my insurance and get back to me. BTW, my insurance is Medicare plus a very good supplement. That was about two weeks ago and I haven’t heard a word! Needless to say, I won’t be returning to this office!!
