“Just got my monthly haircut at Ry’s, and after a couple years of being a client, felt like it was time to add my review. Ry is a top-tier professional and craftsman in the hair business. When I came to his studio, I had just left another barber after a bad experience, so I was pretty wary of trying a new barber. Ry put my mind at ease with his attention to detail and nailing my haircut on the first try (and every visit since then). I have straight, thick Japanese hair, and it’s very easy to tell when an unskilled or undisciplined barber cuts my hair - with Ry it has been spot-on every time.Ry’s Studio is a laidback, single chair, live-work shop that shares a space with his lovely family and two dogs. The vibe is friendly and comfortable, but not all up in your business like some barbershops. If you’re used to chain barbershops or shops in the suburbs, he might seem a little expensive, but I shopped around for a while in this area and all the high end shops have comparable prices. If you need your hair to be on point and want to be confident in professional consistency, Ry is the guy.One tip: Because this is a live-work studio with dogs, he keeps his door locked. Just give a firm knock on the door and Ry will let you in.“

“Leah Stang is a wizard.For my money, there is no one who gives a better short cut. I’ve been getting my hair cut by Leah since 2021. Like other reviewers, I am a devoted fan. The level of care that she puts into each cut is far beyond anything I’ve experienced.Before I ever sat in Leah’s chair, I read a review about her at a previous shop. They’d mentioned what a great conversationalist she is. That was a draw for me. But I also go into most things with an ounce of doubt. Lots of barbers and hairdressers are able to hold a conversation, and what counts as “good” is highly subjective. Whatever doubt I’d held was shattered on cut #1. She is as insightful as she is funny.I actively look forward to my haircuts with Leah because first of all, I’m going to have a great time with her. “I’d like to respond to the review by Andy. I am sorry her experience was negative. She says she dropped me two separate emails, but she never called or texted. These emails never reached me, they may have ended up in my junk mail folder, or because my account here at google was originated from an outside tech marketing vendor, I hired back when I first opened and they may have received these emails but because I no longer pay them to service this I assume they were not forwarded to me. Either way I never knew of her issues and was unable to resolve her concerns. Haircutting is first, an art and I have spent over 40 years working with thousands of clients to hone my skills. Of course on rare occasion someone is going to be unhappy and a phone call could have remedied her situation pronto. I have always stood behind my work, and each and every guest whether on their first visit or 40th are invited to call or text if they have any concerns. I do apologize to Andy that I disappointed her, and I hope she can forgive me for a cut that clearly did not bring her joy.“

“I found Styledbykimmie on google and saw all the amazing reviews. So I decided to get my hair cut and colored for the first time at styledbykimmie. I would have to say it was an amazing customer experience from beginning to end. From the beginning I scheduled an appointment online. When the time didn’t work, I got a text right away when the salon opened to reschedule to a time that works for the both of us. She even asked what color I wanted and to send her pictures to prepare. Before the day of the appointment, I even got a reminder text! There was a small parking lot in the back. The place was super easy to find.I had dark black hair and I decided to do ash blond. I was a little nervous as I’ve never gotten it this light before. But WOWWW my hair turned out exactly how I showed her in the picture. I have received so many compliments. I highly highly recommend styledbykimmie! She is amazing!“
