“My partner has been going to GLAM since we moved to Seattle and I have nothing but great things to say about the half dozen or so times we've been there. Diana is his stylist and she is, in a word, excellent. His cuts have been absolute perfection because she's such a fantastic communicator.At my partner's last appointment, the owner (Andy) struck up a conversation with me as I was waiting. He kindly offered me a drink and asked if I had a salon. I'm recovering from significant hair loss and my pixie wasn't looking too hot -- I had a ton of curly, unruly new growth and some areas of remaining thinness. I asked if they happened to have a stylist who would be comfortable taking on the task. He said he knew the perfect stylist for the job and asked when I was available, then went to explain my situation to the stylist and see if he could work me in the day before a major holiday. My appointment was booked on the spot. Enter Eric.Well, I just had my appointment this morning and I am SO happy with my cut. I was expecting to be told I should buzz it, but Eric was able to keep a considerable amount of length and make my hair look absolutely adorable, which I feel was probably a challenge given the state of it. He was *meticulous*.Eric provided effortlessly entertaining conversation, so much so that I had NO idea I was in the chair for almost two hours -- it was clear he did not want me to leave without my cut looking immaculate, which says a lot about him. A huge thank you to Eric for the patience today, and to Andy for initiating the conversation with me and making me a client. I'm so grateful to have a stylist and a judgement-free salon to help my hair recover.“

“I'm a asian guy with long wavy hair. I showed 3 pictures of an old haircut that I liked, showing all important angles needed to get a full picture. The result was far, far, far from what I had initially showed her. There's also a chunk of hair missing in the back right side of my head and is uneven. Based on the result alone, I would give a 0 star, but I guess she "tried". I wish she had just told me she did not know how to cut my hair type and declined to cut it. The result is truly horrendous compared to the exact pictures (of myself) that I had showed.Edit: Revising rating after owner reached out to address issue“

We are second generation with RJ Vanik proprietor and competition-awarded stylist working with our difficult to style and my color-resistant hair. The color permanence on my white hair with indigo accent low-lights is unparalleled. Also it is difficult to find a stylist with razor-cutting skills for coarse and heavy hair, but RJ is the best. It’s in a convenient area, not too busy, has parking underground, and is really chic and spacious! Ivan is really easy to talk to and gave me the mid length layered cut I wanted :) My curtain bangs grew out nicely and I’m hoping to go back for a trim. I also browsed other stylists here and I don’t think you can go wrong with anyone here! The prices here are also very affordable, my previous salon is charging just about double.“
