Rachel "hired" me to work during tax season (I am a CPA) in 2017. Gold Standard does not have an office, and it is strictly work-from-home, which is very appealing. She instructed me to buy a second monitor (at my own expense) to accommodate the software they use; which I did. I was given my first tax return to work on, with a specific deadline. I started working on it, saved my work, and before the deadline I received a nasty e-mail from Rachel, berating me for taking too long and informing me that someone else in the firm finished my work, and that my services were no longer necessary.
