I feel very blessed to have been referred to the UCLA Orofacial pain clinic. It has been an answer to prayers. Dr. Erkan Onurlu has been amazing. He is personable, listens attentively, professional and is an excellent clinician. I was originally referred for temporomandibular joint dysfunction pain. Which, after treatment with Dr. Onurlu, was successful. Interestingly, while he was examining me, he was able to reproduce a cough that I have had since 2014. I cough every single day. I used to have bad headaches and tried a lot of treatments. Nothing worked until my visit to Orofaicial pain clinic here!!This OFP clinic definitely brings my life back to normal.Highly recommend it if you are suffering the related pains!
I wish I had never gone. I went Tuesday for an appointment I'd made weeks ago. Just getting an appointment had been so difficult - no one ever returned my messages. Finally, I reached a real person and made an appointment. I thought I'd been so lucky. They were supposed to email me the paperwork. No one had emailed me the paperwork by the day of my appointment. When I tried calling that day about the paperwork, no one returned my call. When I got there, I filled out the paperwork and then I was taken to one of the many areas for care. Basically, it's set up like office carrels with dental chairs. I didn't see ANY air filters, there a no windows, the covid screening is simply questions. I have no idea what the air circulation system is there. The Dr's mask kept slipping under his nose. There are no sinks that I could see so after we'd already started, I saw the Dr use some hand sanitizer on the gloves he was wearing. I would not go back.
